The art of Banksy - Amsterdam

Well how lucky am I that this exhibition was on at the same time that I was visiting Amsterdam.

So who is Banksy? Well no one really knows but I guarantee you would have seen at least one piece of his art. Like this one...

Street artist, printer and painter Banksy is a man of mystery.

I first came across his work when I admired a print hanging in a gallery in Port Douglas many years ago. I had no idea who he was and thought gee $250 bucks that's a lot. But nearly purchased it anyway. This is it....

I love the political and social statements that his work delivers. I also enjoy the different interpretations that can be made.

He once said "I have no problem with being considered an art terrorist "

As far as modern day artists goes he would be easily one of my favourites.

Artworks by Banksy such as this below are woth millions and rarely shown.
