New Delhi, India

As you may have seen from my last post my travel into India didn't go as expected.
Black currency has caused massive issues throughout India. Far greater than I anticipated.
People line up for hours at the ATM's and arguments and fights break out.
The way the government has handled it has taken everyone by surprise including the locals, the embassies and me.
The 'cheep' hotels that I planned to stay in are totally crap. To put it nicely. They all read and look good online.
I've used the knowledge of a local travel office (first time for anything I guess) and they helped me to book proper hotels and trains and get some cash.
Because I was on high alert, tired and stressed I was suspicious of everything and everyone.
I kind of offended the people who were even trying to help me along the way by questioning their legitimacy and good will. I don't feel good about that but in the end I made good with them.
This photo (I'm trying hard to smile) is of one of those people. Ramji.

He was a driver loaned to me by the travel office. I used him way past his duty and I even managed to get him fined for parking at the embassy.
He loved me despite my poor attitude and repeated "no problem" over and over again.
Now, New Delhi. Let's see......
What was I thinking? It's a one night stay at best. I got taken by surprise on this one.

I was bound to stuff up sooner or later and I did here. I didn't like it at all. I certainly got my money's worth of experience though.
I've decided to use some overnight trains and busses in an attempt to see 'beautiful India'. I'm going to travel around the Rajasthan region and take in the sites and enjoy some unique experiences.
Wandering around like I have been isn't really the way to go for this part of my journey. If I deliberately get lost here I'll be lost for good.
