DASH shelter - final week

So what did I get up to? Let's see.....

Filling in holes as usual. Feeding. Repairing sun shades. Helping with vaccinations and collecting donated items. Building and general maintenance. 

This photo is one of my favourites. The second dog from the right clearly has issues with having his photo taken...

The photos below are of a kennel I built and the floor (which the dogs love) I mentioned from my first days.

Last week was my final days at the shelter and I'll have to admit that I felt I bit emotional as I walked out for the last time. Now that I've spent time there I can understand how easy it is to become so attached. For me it's not just the dogs it's the people too. As I've said before they are amazing. I've made some great friends and received fantastic hospitality. I've felt really spoilt during the last 4 weeks. 

My journey continues now onto a new country that will bring new experiences and challenges yet I can't wait to return to Greece as soon as I can.
