The home to one of the largest and popular flea markets in Berlin.

Not normally my kind of place but I figured this could be somewhere to see some interesting stuff and also potentially run into some real characters.

The market stalls themselves where diverse, eclectic and somewhat grungy. But actually pretty cool...

There were plenty of street performers...

And free spirited singers who performed in front of heaps of people sitting in a concrete amphitheater...

It was also a good spot to try out some local market style food.  Traditional bratwurst and local pilsner was my choice.

To get there it took about 50 minutes and a couple of trains.

It was worth the trip.

Oh and it's the spot for the local pick up game as well. And no, I didn't participate.
