First impressions. It's very green from the air.
It has a diverse range of architectural styles. Gothic, Art Nouveau, Baroque and Art Deco.
I enjoy seeing how the different styles blend to each other and also stand out at times.
The area I'm staying in is an ideal place to see the best of Brussels.
Brussels itself is calming, relaxed, pretty and entertaining. I find It reasonably easy to navigate.
The people are friendly, forgiving and courteous and kind. I witnessed an older gentleman fall down in the streets and before I even moved there was about a dozen locals surrounding him to offer assistance.
I'm trying to blend in but the locals are walking around in jeans , scarves and jackets while I'm wearing shorts, t-shirt and cap. I couldn't stand out more if I tried. Although locals stop and ask me things in French. I have no idea. I'm still speaking bloody Spanish!
