The day had been spent walking, eating and drinking around the beach and marina area.
As the weather started to set in with lightning and thunder in the distance it was a good idea to start heading home.
I was about half way there and it was just on dusk. I could hear drums and fireworks in the distance and as I turned the corner I saw the commotion.
Children walking the streets with spinning fireworks in close proximity to the hordes of people lining the footpaths to catch a view. Dragons and satanic effigies breathing fireworks that sent sparks over everyone.
Needless to say I got drenched from the pouring rain as I stood in awe of the craziness in front of me that went for miles. Somehow the thunder, rain and lightning didn't matter anymore.
And I didn't care about getting burned either!
