Granada, Spain

It's about 3.5 hours drive from Tavira. It's a good drive as well with some nice scenery on the way like the Sierra Nevada Mountains and olive tree plantations spreading as far as the eye can see and well positioned wind turbines optimising the winds that flow through the valleys.

In the distance you can see large blotches of white on the landscape which, once you get closer, you can see them for what they really are. Beautiful little towns.

Finding and navigating the streets to the apartment wasn't difficult it was a nightmare. That said once there I got a free upgrade. Bonus! The area I'm staying in is called Albaycin and the streets there have made way to footpaths yet there is an expectation that a car is appropriate. It's not!

Granada is larger, far more active and way more impressive than I imagined.

Thus far the Spain I've seen is dead flat. Albaycin is hilly. Ridiculously so.

First cool thing is free tapas with drinks. And good tapas too.

As far as beauty goes think of any surpurlative you can and that still won't be good enough to describe it. Any photo I take can't do it justice.

I'll try to explain how I feel about this place. Remember back when you were young and you were about to talk to a pretty girl or boy for the first time that you desire. That feeling of nervousness and excitement and maybe even intimidation is what I feel when I walk these streets.
